QStop Clinic · for doctors' practices

Every patient knows when it's their turn.

QStop Clinic puts your queue on the waiting-room TV and calls each patient by number, out loud. Fewer questions at reception, and a calmer room.

No patient names. No file numbers. Just a number on a card.

How it works

From the front desk to the consulting room in four steps

  1. Hand over a card

The patient arrives and gets a numbered card. The matching card clips to their file.

  2. Type the number

Reception types the number into QStop and picks the doctor, or "next available".

  3. The doctor calls

When the doctor is ready, they press "Call next" on a tablet, or reception calls for them.

  4. The room hears it

The TV shows the number and announces it: "Number 14, please go to Dr Botha, Room 2."

The cards come back after each visit and are used again. The queue clears itself every night.
Features

Everything a busy practice needs, and nothing it doesn't

Waiting-room TV

Big, clear numbers that can be read from across the room, plus a spoken announcement for every call.

Reception screen

See who is waiting and for how long, the longest wait right now, patients seen today and the average wait.

Doctor's screen

A tablet in the consulting room. Call the next patient, call again, or pick a patient out of turn.

Several doctors

Up to five doctors, each with their own room. Patients can wait for a specific doctor or the next one free.

Reports

Daily, weekly, monthly and yearly reports: waiting times, patients seen, busiest hours and figures per doctor.

No app store needed

QStop runs in a web browser and installs on a tablet or computer like an app. Updates arrive on their own.

Privacy

We store no patient data

QStop only ever sees a card number, a doctor and the times. No names, ID numbers or file numbers go into the system, so there is very little to protect under POPIA, and nothing personal ever appears on the waiting-room screen.

Your practice's data is kept in Google's Johannesburg data centre. Reports go to your practice's own email, not to us.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

What equipment do we need?

A TV in the waiting room with a small TV box or mini PC, a computer at reception, and an internet connection. A tablet for each doctor is optional. If you don't have the equipment, we can quote for it and install it.

Does it work without internet?

No. QStop needs an internet connection so that the reception screen, the TV and the doctors' tablets stay in sync.

Do patients need a smartphone?

No. Patients only need the numbered card they get at reception. They watch and listen for their number.

Is QStop POPIA friendly?

QStop stores no patient names, ID numbers, file numbers or medical information. It only keeps card numbers, doctors and times, which keeps your POPIA risk very low.

What happens if a patient leaves before being seen?

Reception marks them as "left". Their card is freed for the next patient, and the reports count how many patients left without being seen.

Is QStop only for doctors?

QStop Clinic is built for doctors' practices first. Versions for other waiting rooms will follow.
